Breaking the Chains Of Pornography Part 1 of 2 | Pastor Bob Hallman

LISTEN TO AUDIO ONLY

Pastor Bob Hallman begins the service welcoming everyone and mentioning the Kauai Bible College, meet and greet as well as welcoming the newest member of the CCF family.

The message starts out of the book of Isaiah 61: 1-3

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

We are grateful for a God that gives us good for the bad we have.

Our prayer is that you are renewed as you wait on God and put your trust in him. His sufficiency is MORE than adequate.

We pray this message today is a blessing in some way to you and yours as you listen to a very personal testimony of Alex & Sandy Diego.

Pastor Bob Hallman felt compelled to preach on this subject after hearing Josh McDowell speak on Kauai.

Josh McDowell feels that there’s an issue that requires attention and because of that, he will focus the majority of his efforts on what he believes to be the greatest threat to Christianity:
Pornography.

68% of Christian men are viewing pornography online

Pornography undermines everything being taught in the church.

When you view pornography, it destroys your relationship with God, it destroys your relationship with your spouse, it destroys your impact in the community and your capacity to stand up strength and a sense of nobility, and with Godliness and with a passion for the things of God.

with God’s help, it is the intention of Pastor Bob to bring these issues to the church to deal with it directly and to deal with it with redemptive hope.

Because of the internet and easy access via phones and computers, the new average age of young boys being exposed to pornography is 4 and 5 years of age.

This can completely derail our children

if our intimacy and relationship with God is undermined by this common problem, then we aren’t going to get any traction as a church to engage in the battle that God has us engaged in as it relates to sharing the gospel and meeting the world and their needs for Freedom in Christ.

Today , you will hear a brave testimony by Alex and Sandy Diego. They shared this testimony some years ago.

We pray that you will be blessed in some way by what is shared here and that you will consider sharing this message for someone who may need to hear it.

Blessings,

Crossroads Christian Fellowship
